Workshop - Pycom workshop

This is a workshop to learn how to use Pycom Lopy devices. Please note there is a $25 fee to attend.

Payment in cash please on the day. Receipt will be provided.

The workshop is intended for the IoT Meetup members that already have a Lopy device. I have a few spare units, so please let me know if you want to attend and either borrow or buy one of these.

Please bring:

Laptop computer (MAC or PC)

Mains extension cord and multi-socket adapter (there are only a few sockets in the room)

USB to micro-USB cable to connect Lopy to your PC

5V USB power supply, optional

For PC, recommend to install

The workshop will cover:

Components, construction and features

Firmware upgrade (if you can do this before attending it will save a lot of time)

Sending Lora messages

writing micropython code

connecting sensors - temperature & humidity, and GPS available.
