For the 5th consecutive time and following a rigorous assessment, Poole Quay Boat Haven and Port of Poole Marina, both owned and managed by Poole Harbour Commissioners, have retained their prestigious Five Gold Anchor status, the highest level of accreditation on offer, delivered by the Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).

The Gold Anchor scheme has been developed by the marina industry with the aim of raising standards and providing customer-centric services. It has become an internationally recognised accreditation assessing quality of service and facilities. The scheme involves an assessment across categories such as ambience, planning, policies and procedures, customer service, environmental, on water facilities and infrastructure and onshore facilities and infrastructure, followed by a mystery shopper check.

Poole Quay Boat Haven offers 125 berths for a variety of vessels from jet skis to 75m superyachts, and Port of Poole marina has 90 berths welcoming vessels up to 50m. Poole Quay Boat Haven has been awarded TYHA Marina of the Year as a Winner or Runner Up 9 times since 2014.

Poole Harbour Commissioners are currently consulting on their masterplan update, a 20-year plan aspiring to become UK’s Number One Marine Leisure Location. This plan includes adding a new Marine Centre, South to the current Poole Quay Boat Haven, adding circa 600 berths.
